Historical Black Press Foundation to Produce Who's Who in Black Philadelphia, DC directories

WASHINGTON, DC - May 16, 2006 (BlackPressMagazine.com) – This is a directory of the most influential African Americans in Philadelphia, PA and Washington, DC (and in some cases Caucasians only if they have dedicated their lifetime to the betterment of African Americans).

For the purpose of this book, we define African Americans as Black mother and father. We define Mulatto as Black parent and White parent and we define People of Color as looking, living or identifying as Black. We define African in America as Africans who have come to the United States, lived Black and are identified as Black.

Join us in Philadelphia for the official unveiling ceremony this fall. A sneak peek of the sample issue of the directory will be produced and made available at a preview reception at which everyone who cares about Black Philadelphia will be in attendance.

The book will exceed 200 pages and will contain a foreword by one of Washington’s top dogs and Philadelphia's most elite African Americans. This directory will be a thick soft cover book and will be trimmed to 8”x 10.5”. The photos will be submitted as 300 dpi or higher and will be printed 600 dpi or higher so that the directory possesses a coffee table quality.

The listings will include the following:

  • Name
  • Title
  • Company Address
  • Phone
  • Fax
  • Email
  • Web site
  • Photo of person
  • Biography Work samples (if applicable)
  • Quotes by others on the person’s accomplishments
